The weekend was wet, cold and windy but not as bad as other parts of the country and certainly not the conditions being experienced in the Bahamas, Cuba and Florida from hurricane Irma.
There was a brief flurry of hail, which quickly disappeared, along with a few lightning and thunder claps. The Oraka Stream which has reached the bottom of the bridge on a number of occasions in the past, did not rise to this level during the weekend.
The horizontal position of a Give Way sign pictured above was either a message to the weather or a more urgent way to message motorists exiting onto Glenshea Street.
